Guernsey FC must win the league as they apply for promotion

Guernsey FC are one of eight clubs who have applied for promotion from the Combined Counties League Premier.
Only the league champions can be promoted but clubs must still apply if they wish to be considered.
"That's the formal side of things, we want to try and progress," Guernsey manager Tony Vance told BBC Guernsey.
"We've got to put things right on the football side of things and make sure we win the league as ultimately that's the only way you're going to go up."
Any club wishing to be considered for promotion into Isthmian League Division One South must meet certain criteria and Vance has been assured that Footes Lane will be ready.
Guernsey have only lost one league game this season and are currently seven points behind leaders Egham Town, but they have four games in hand.
"Those other teams have aspirations to go up and you can't underestimate anyone," Vance added.
"Just because a team is mid-table and they've applied for promotion, maybe they know something we don't or are going to put a good run together.
"We've got to keep staying in the chasing pack and hope of that eight we're the ones to go up."
