BBC Sport football expert Mark Lawrenson is pitting his wits against a different guest each week this season.

Gabbiadini formed a prolific partnership with Eric Gates at Sunderland, scoring 87 goals in 185 games

His opponents for the Boxing Day Premier League fixtures are Match of the Day commentator Guy Mowbray, external and former Sunderland, York, Derby, Northampton and Darlington striker Marco Gabbiadini., external

Gabbiadini, known as 'Marco Goalo' when he was a prolific goalscorer for Sunderland from 1987 to 1991.

Both Mowbray and Gabbiadini, who is now a pundit on BBC Newcastle's Total Sport programme, think the day's other clash between Manchester and the north east will end in a victory for leaders Manchester United against Newcastle.

A correct result is worth ONE point, while a correct score earns THREE points.

Last week, Lawro took on football impressionists Darren Farley and Paul Reid.

Lawro got six results right, with no perfect scores, and his score of six saw him beat both Farley (four correct results with no perfect scores), and Reid (two correct results, with no perfect scores).

This season, we will also be keeping a record of the total scores for Lawro and his guests (below), and showing a table of how the Premier League would look if all Lawro's predictions came off (also at the bottom of the page).
