Wrexham miss out on defender Danny Devine

  • Published

Wrexham have missed out on signing defender Danny Devine on a permanent basis.

Devine joined the Dragons on an emergency loan from Fleetwood Town in September.

Wrexham made a long-term offer to Devine, now a free agent following his release by Fleetwood.

But Wrexham player-manager Andy Morrell said the Belfast-born player is set to sign for Inverness Caledonian Thistle.

"We offered him a contract, but the SPL was too much of a draw for him," Morrell said.

"He goes up there with our wishes but still a little bit disappointed with the way that it's panned out."
