- Published
Coleraine moved into third place in the Premiership by continuing their recent run of fine form against struggling derby rivals Ballymena United.
The Bannsiders are now unbeaten in their last 11 fixtures against the Sky Blues, winning nine of those matches.
David Scullion bent a shot past Dwayne Nelson in the 40th minute and Curtis Allen rifled in his 12th goal of the season after 57 minutes.
Nelson then saved an Allen penalty low to his right on 63 minutes.
Jamie Davidson squandered an early chance when he pulled his shot across the face of the goal.
Nelson saved from Allen and then Howard Beverland and Allen played their part in Scullion's opener.
Coleraine made it 2-0 after David Ogilby met Ryan McIlmoyle's corner, Nelson saved, but Allen picked up on the rebound to score.
The visitors continued to dominate, with Allen missing from the penalty spot, Nelson denying Ruairi Harkin and Darren Boyce hitting the bar.
It was a comfortable win for Oran Kearney's side, while Ballymena have now lost each of their last six league games.
