Britt Assombalonga agrees new Watford contract

Watford striker Britt Assombalonga has signed a new contract until the end of next season, with the option of a further year.

The 20-year-old is currently on loan at League Two Southend United, where he has scored 12 goals this term.

Assombalonga joined the Hornets in 2011 after being spotted by the club's Community Sports & Education Trust.

He has so far made four first-team appearances for the Championship club but has yet to find the net.
