Aldershot Town assistant manager Matt Bishop departs

Aldershot Town have confirmed that assistant manager Matt Bishop has left the club with immediate effect.

The 39-year-old joined the League Two side from Newport County in January 2011 when Dean Holdsworth was appointed as manager.

Holdsworth said: "Bish and I have been through so much together and shared some excellent times.

"The management and players wish him all the best and thank him for the contribution he has made."

He added: "It has been enjoyable working with him and his work ethic is fantastic.

"He has been part of a special relationship. We wish him every success for the future."
