Chesterfield sign Chelmsford City full-back Richard Brindley

Chesterfield have signed full-back Richard Brindley on a deal until the end of the season.

The 19-year-old was released by Norwich at the end of last season having failed to make a single appearance for the first team and joined Chelmsford City in the summer.

He helped the non-league side reach the FA Cup second round with a shock 3-1 win over Colchester United.

Brindley could make his debut against Torquay on Saturday.
