Irish Premiership: Cliftonville 4-0 Lisburn Distillery

Joe Gormley scored a hat-trick as Cliftonville maintained their nine-point lead at the top of the table by beating Lisburn Distillery at Solitude.

Gormley slotted home the opener from a Diarmuid O'Carroll pass on 23 minutes and then Stephen Garrett coolly shot past Lee Windrum after 37 minutes.

Gormley prodded the ball in for the third in the 50th minute after Liam Boyce had crossed across the area.

The Reds striker scored again after 67 with a shot from the edge of the box.

Barry Johnston had an early chance for the league leaders but the midfielder hit the post.

The Whites bounced back and Conor Devlin made a fine save from Michael Halliday's right-foot effort.

Owain Beggs also headed over from six yards out.

Cliftonville then assumed control, with Gormley scoring a treble, although Ryan Catney could have got in on the act if he had converted two good chances.

The victory made it a 10th consecutive Premiership success at Solitude for Tommy Breslin's side.
