Yeovil 3-0 Scunthorpe

Yeovil Town eased past Scunthorpe United at Huish Park to move up to third place in the League One table.

The hosts dominated the opening stages, and took a deserved lead when Byron Webster headed in Ed Upson's corner.

And the Iron, who struggled to create chances throughout, allowed James Hayter to double the lead from the spot after Callum Kennedy felled Sam Foley.

Paddy Madden rounded off the scoring from close range to earn his side an eighth successive league win.

Madden's strike means the forward continues his rich vein of form, making it 10 goals in his last seven games.

Scunthorpe boss Brian Laws was sent from the touchline before half time for remonstrating with the referee and fourth official after Webster had brought down Akpo Sodje.

Scunthorpe manager Brian Laws told BBC Radio Humberside:

"Look at the game as a whole, over 90 minutes we didn't deserve to get anything out of it, it was possibly a game too far for us.

"I'll see what the report says [about his red card], I'm not worried about that, I've been in the game so long now and can't remember the last time I got involved with a referee or fourth official, so that just shows you how angry I was at the time [with the decision not to send off Yeovil's Byron Webster].

"It doesn't matter what division you are in, that's a sending off and that was not acceptable. However, beyond that, it was a very controversial decision and it has cost me standing on the touch line."
