New manager Andy Scott began life at Aldershot with a win as two goals from Danny Hylton earned a valuable three points against play-off chasing Fleetwood - who had two men sent off.
Aldershot took the lead after Hylton fired into the roof of the net.
Jamie McGuire was then given a straight red for a push on Oliver Risser before Alan Goodall was sent off for a foul on Hylton inside the penalty area.
Craig Reid's spot-kick was saved but Hylton sealed the points from 18 yards.
The result saw Aldershot move four points clear of the bottom two with Fleetwood the same number off the top seven.

Aldershot Town manager Andy Scott told BBC Surrey:
"The lads gave everything that they could and we got a fantastic result, [though] it could have been more convincing. For coming into my first game I'm absolutely delighted.
"It's been a tough week on the players mentally as well as physically and with three games this week and three terrific results the credit has got to go to them.
"I want them to go and express themselves and do what they can and give them more freedom."
