Irish Premiership: Ballymena Utd 2-2 Donegal Celtic

Donegal Celtic came back from two goals down to earn a draw at Ballymena and move six points clear of Lisburn Distillery at the bottom of the table.

David Cushley tucked a neat shot inside the post on 31 minutes and Tony Kane curled a free-kick inside the far post past John Connolly in the 44th minute.

Substitute Kevin Hughes fired in first time on 69 and Sean Cleary scored from the penalty spot in the final minute.

Cleary was then sent-off for taking his shirt off to celebrate the goal.

Cleary had an early penalty shout turned down by referee Andrew Davey, before Cushley broke the deadlock.

Dwayne Nelson saved from Stephen O'Neill and then dead ball specialist Kane extended the Sky Blues' lead.

Hughes found the net after Nelson had parried out Mark Miskimmin's initial effort.

Home skipper Jenkins fouled Cleary inside the area to concede the late penalty, from which DC rescued a point.

Cleary was subsequently dismissed, having earlier picked up his first booking in the second half for a foul on Mark Surgenor.

Glenn Ferguson's side are now without a win in their last six Premiership matches.
