Macclesfield 2-1 AFC Telford

Matthew Barnes-Homer hit a dramatic late winner for Macclesfield as bottom club Telford equalled a Conference record by going 26 games without a win.

Waide Fairhurst struck from close range to give the hosts an early lead, before Dean McDonald forced Bucks keeper Ryan Young into a fine save.

The visitors drew level before the break when Steve Jones got on the end of Nathan Rooney's delivery to tap in.

But Barnes-Homer drilled home his 22nd goal of the season in the 91st minute.

Macclesfield gave a debut at the Moss Rose to former Aldershot and Plymouth striker Guy Madjo, who joined the Silkmen on Saturday, while another new arrival Antonio Amores was an unused substitute.

Telford's winless streak equals that of AP Leamington, which happened back in the 1981-82 season.

The Bucks, playing their third game under new interim boss John Psaras (their fourth manager in just seven weeks) must now go to Lincoln on Saturday knowing that they have to win if they are not to break an unwanted record.

Telford are now 11 points adrift of safety, with just six matches left, leaving them in danger of being relegated, at the earliest, on Easter Saturday.
