Ghana beat Mali on penalties to make it through to the African U-20 championship final where they will meet Egypt, who beat Nigeria 2-0 in their semi-final.
The last-four tie between Ghana and Mali ended goalless after extra-time and spot-kick were needed to separate the west African sides.
Ghana prevailed 4-2 to knock out the Eaglets, who had dominated the match.
Egypt, with a 100% record in the finals, were too strong for Nigeria.
The winners of the final will go to the 2013 Under-20 World Cup knowing they will be in a group with England, Chile and Iraq.
There will be a draw for the runners up and two losing semi-finalists - Mali and Nigeria - to determine who each will face at the tournament in Turkey from 21 June to 13 July.
