Ballinamallard United secure a place in the top six of the Irish Premiership after a 0-0 draw with Linfield at Ferney Park

Ballinamallard United sealed their spot in the top six of the Premiership with this scoreless draw at Ferney Park.

Linfield had the better of the chances in the first half as Matthew Tipton fired against the post and Philip Lowry saw his header from a Jamie Mulgrew cross come off the bar.

Home goalkeeper Alvin Rouse saved from Billy Joe Burns and Lowry drilled a shot across the face of goal.

Ballinamallard created few chances but will be in the top six after the split.

The Blues remain in third position ahead of Tuesday's Belfast derby against Glentoran.
