Truro City boss Lee Hodges disappointed with Eastbourne draw

Truro City manager Lee Hodges was disappointed with his side's 2-2 draw with Eastbourne Borough.

The White Tigers conceded a 94th minute equaliser to deny them a first win in four matches.

"I'm bitterly disappointed that we have taken one point and not three," Hodges told BBC Radio Cornwall.

"Barry Hayles scored a great goal out of nothing with ten minutes left to give us the lead and I felt we were going to see it through."

Truro, who have already been relegated, were ahead at the break thanks to Stewart Yetton's close-range strike in his first start since October.

The visitors drew level when defender Ollie Rowe found space and headed home from a corner.

Hayles' fine strike put Truro back in front before Darren Lok's late effort ensured Eastbourne a vital point in their battle to avoid relegation.

To make matter's worse for the home side Marcus Martin saw red in the dying seconds.

"I felt we were on the front foot in the first half but in the second it wasn't good," Hodges added.

"We snatched at stuff and didn't play with the confidence of the first half.

"We changed it around with the formation and defended well.

"It was a good performance and we can take a lot of positives but it's so frustrating."
