Partick Thistle: Aaron Muirhead cited by SFA over head-butt
- Published
Partick Thistle defender Aaron Muirhead has been issued with a notice of complaint by the Scottish Football Association.
Muirhead breached disciplinary rule number 201 by head-butting Queen of the South's Chris Higgins in Sunday's Challenge Cup final.
The case will be heard on Thursday and he has until Wednesday to respond.
Any further punishment for Muirhead will be on top of the automatic two-game ban he gets for violent conduct.
Thistle play Division One title rivals Morton on Wednesday, but the 22-year-old misses that game because of a previous red card he picked up against Raith Rovers.
