Roberto Martinez backs 'magnificent' Wigan to beat drop

Roberto Martinez believes Wigan will stay in the Premier League if they can reproduce the "magnificent" performance they found to draw 2-2 with Tottenham.
The Latics came within a minute of victory at the DW Stadium only for Emmerson Boyce's late own goal to deny them all three points.
"We were magnificent throughout, it is a point gained," Martinez said.
"We need to perform in the same manner that we did today. If we perform like this I know the points will come."
Gareth Bale had put Tottenham in front in the ninth minute, capitalising on some ponderous play by Maynor Figueroa and Joel Robles, but Wigan were level in the 11th minute thanks to Boyce's header. Callum McManaman's excellent drive then put them 2-1 up four minutes after he break, only for Boyce's late own goal to let two points slip.
Martinez was frustrated by the decision to award Spurs a free-kick late on that led directly to Spurs' equaliser and was adamant that Wigan had deserved victory.
"It was a performance well worth three points," Martinez told BBC Sport.
"We were playing against an outstanding side who are fighting to get into a Champions League place. The only frustration is the free-kick late on which is the wrong decision and cost us two points.
"It is clear Kyle Walker pulls Jean Beausejour down, it is a free-kick the other way, but he uses a little bit of experience to go down easily."
The result leaves Wigan two points adrift of 17th-placed Aston Villa, with both sides having four games left to play - including a meeting between them at the DW Stadium on the final day of the season. "My players showed they have an incredible performance level in their make-up and that is what we have to do, " Martinez said.
"We need to replicate that until the end of the season and hope that the football gods will smile on us because you can't be that unlucky."
