Notts County striker Yoann Arquin is one of eight players offered new contracts by the League One club.

Arquin, along with Alan Sheehan, Jeff Hughes, Joss Labadie, Haydn Hollis, Curtis Thompson, Tyrell Waite and Greg Tempest have all been offered deals.

Julian Kelly, Hamza Bencherif, Liam Mitchell and Jake Wholey have been told they will need to find new clubs, while Alan Judge is leaving as expected.

Deals for Gavin Mahon and Krystian Pearce depend on budget issues.

A decision on whether both players will be offered contracts will be made in the coming weeks.

Manager Chris Kiwomya told BBC Radio Nottingham: "They still have to agree. We might have offered eight, but we have to see what they think. If they don't accept, we have to move on.

"Sometimes Yoann can be magnificent and sometimes you can be unsure. He has had an impact and has scored some important goals. He is a player who we want to see if he can keep on improving.

Magpies chairman Ray Trew has said the budget will be cut by 30% next season, but Kiwomya was not fazed by that.

"I have no problem with that," Kiwomya said. "The budget is what it is It makes a little bit difficult but I still think I can make us competitive in this league. My glass is always half full."
