Grimsby Town: Ian Miller among eight players released

Grimsby Town have released eight players after their failure to gain promotion from Blue Square Bet Premier.

The Mariners lost out to Newport in the play-off semi-finals after finishing fourth in the regular season.

Bradley Wood, Ian Miller, Derek Niven, Greg Fleming, Simon Ford, Frankie Artus, Greg Pearson and Louie Soares have all been released.

Dayle Southwell and Craig Disley have been offered new contracts while Shaun Pearson has agreed a new two-year deal.
