Rangers signed off for the season with victory against Berwick Rangers on the day the Ibrox side were presented with the Scottish Third Division trophy.
Fraser Aird's diving header gave the home side a first-half lead.
Scott Dalziel threatened an equaliser and Lewis Macleod and Darren Cole went close for Rangers but there was to be no further scoring.
And though Berwick suffer defeat, they progress to the promotion play-offs as the team finishing fourth.
Elgin City beat East Stirlingshire to draw level on points with Ian Little's side but Berwick have a superior goal difference.
Berwick showed few signs of succumbing as Rangers lofted several high balls into the visitors' box in the opening half-hour.
However, an inswinging delivery from the left by Kyle Hutton required just a simple nod from Aird to beat Marc McCallum from inside the six-yard box.
Rangers keeper Neil Alexander was called in to action at the start of the second half, getting down to push Dalziel's header out for a corner.
At the other end Macleod could not get a hold of his shot after being teed up by David Templeton on the edge of the area.
Cole was next to try and add to the scoreline, the Rangers substitute firing over from near the penalty spot.
The hosts, who replaced the injured Andy Little with Cole in the first half, were dealt another blow when Luca Gasparotto was stretchered off after landing awkwardly.
Berwick had one last chance to claim a point but Alexander gathered Chris Townsley's header.
And the Rangers players were soon joined on the field by manager Ally McCoist and his backroom staff to celebrate with the trophy.
