Charlton Athletic manager Chris Powell will not be offering new contracts to Ricardo Fuller, Salim Kerkar, Matt Taylor and Scott Wagstaff.

Midfielder Wagstaff, 23, came through the club's academy and scored 22 goals in 141 appearances for the club.

Striker Fuller, 33, joined last August and scored five times in 31 games.

Defender Taylor was a part of the League One title-winning team in 2012 but only made 14 appearances this season, while Kerkar played 24 times.

On releasing Wagstaff, who has been on the books at the Valley since the age of eight, Powell told the club website:, external "He is now at the stage where he needs to get his career going.

"He was an integral part of our League One campaign, but this year has been harder for him with regards to playing time.

"I don't want that to go to waste and I think that in the long term he will benefit from playing regularly.

"It was with a heavy heart that the decision was made."
