Guernsey are Muratti Vase favourites says Kevin Graham

Guernsey manager Kevin Graham feels his side are the favourites for this year's Muratti with Jersey.

Guernsey hold the title after a 2-0 win over Jersey last year and go into the game off the back of Guernsey FC's promotion to the Isthmian League

This year's match has been put back to 18 May because of Guernsey FC's end-of-season fixture congestion.

"I think we should be favourites and I've got every confidence that our boys will do the business," said Graham.

But despite Guernsey FC's success, Graham is well aware that Jersey have also had arguably the best season in their history.

The Caesareans represented England in the Uefa Regions' Cup and topped their group.

"In my view they're the best-prepared Muratti side Jersey's ever produced," Graham told BBC South West Sport.

"There's some pressure on our boys to continue the run of form they've had, but similarly the Jersey boys will feel they deserve to be taken seriously.

"Muratti day is a real leveller with the emotion of the occasion and the size of the game."
