Sheffield United: Julian Winter returns as chief executive

Julian Winter has returned to Sheffield United as chief executive only eight months after quitting the job.

Winter left United last September after a year in the role, having joined them two years earlier following a spell in the same position at Watford.

Along with Scott McCabe and David Green, he will be in charge of the day-to-day running of the Blades.

Winter, a player at Bramall Lane in 1989-90, told the club website: "I am delighted to be back at the club."
