Cambridge United have signed Tamworth striker Adam Cunnington on a two-year deal for an undisclosed fee.

The 25-year-old scored 21 goals this season, including one in each game against Cambridge.

He is the second player to leave The Lamb for the U's this week, Richard Tait having signed a similar deal.

"On the back of good season last season I wanted to move to a bigger club and a team that can push for promotion and further my football career," he said.

"Looking at the players that have signed recently and the existing players, I think we can strive for a promotion or play-off push, and I hope to play as big a part in that as possible by getting the goals to get us there."

Cambridge boss Richard Money has now made five signings since the final game of the season on 20 April.

Dartford pair Tom Champion and Tom Bonner have also agreed two-year deals, while forward Delano Sam-Yorke has joined on a 12-month contract from Basingstoke.
