Teenage striker Alex Salmon has signed a one-year professional contract with Carlisle after making his first-team debut at the end of the season.

The 18-year-old was given his chance as a substitute in last month's games against Bournemouth and Colchester.

"I know that the really hard work starts now," he told the club website. , external

"Training with the first team is a lot harder because everything is much quicker. It gets easier and easier as you get used to it, though."
