Titus Bramble suggests Sunderland exit this summer

Defender Titus Bramble has intimated his stay at Sunderland will end when his contract expires this summer.

The 31-year-old has made 51 appearances since joining from Wigan in July 2010,, external although injury and off-the-field issues have limited his availability.

"The NE [north east] is a special place to play and will always be close to my heart," Bramble posted on Twitter., external

"I've had a great three years and would like to thank every #SAFC fan for the support they have shown."

He added: "I wish the club and my team-mates all the best for the future."

Bramble made 19 appearances in 2012-13 but did not feature in any of the last seven matches of the season following Paolo Di Canio's arrival as replacement for Martin O'Neill.

Di Canio has previously made it clear he is keen to make changes at the Stadium of Light this summer.
