MK Dons manager Karl Robinson is set to remain with the League One side after ruling himself out of the running for the Sheffield United vacancy.

BBC Radio Sheffield understands he has chosen to stay with the club he has managed since May 2010.

Robinson, 32, had confirmed to BBC Three Counties Radio earlier this week that he would be meeting his agent to discuss his future.

Blades have been without a permanent boss since Danny Wilson left in April.

The Bramall Lane side revealed last week that they had formed a seven-man shortlist for the position.

Motherwell manager Stuart McCall, 48, has been linked with the post and it is believed he returned early from his holiday to meet with the club.
