Midfielders Barry Robson and Willo Flood are potential targets for Aberdeen manager Derek McInnes.

Robson joined Sheffield United on a short-term contract in January, while Flood has been with Dundee United for the past two seasons.

The duo were previously team-mates at United, Celtic and Middlesbrough.

Flood had two loan spells at Tannadice before he was sold by Cardiff City to Celtic, who had already signed Robson from the Tangerines.

And the pair, who are free to join new clubs this summer, were signed by Gordon Strachan when he was in charge of Boro.

Robson, 34, also lists Inverness Caledonian Thistle, Middlesbrough and Vancouver Whitecaps among his previous clubs and has won 17 caps for Scotland.

Dubliner Flood, 28, featured for Republic of Ireland's Under-21 side.

McInnes, who became Aberdeen manager in April, was also at one time a Dundee United team-mate of Robson's.
