Chris Holroyd: Macclesfield return for ex-Morecambe striker
- Published
Chris Holroyd has returned to hometown club Macclesfield Town for the upcoming Conference Premier season.
The 26-year-old spent five months on loan at Moss Rose from Preston last term, scoring nine goals.
He then moved to Morecambe in January on a short-term deal, but only scored once in 16 outings.
Holroyd, whose previous clubs also include Brighton and Rotherham is John Askey's first signing since he was appointed permanent Macclesfield boss.
