Sunderland have signed forward David Moberg Karlsson from IFK Gothenburg for an undisclosed fee.

The Sweden Under-19 international has agreed a four-year contract.

Karlsson, 19, joined Gothenburg from Mariestad in the summer of 2010 and has scored eight goals in 47 appearances, winning the Swedish Cup last term.

He becomes Sunderland's fifth summer signing after Duncan Watmore, Valentin Roberge, Modibo Diakite and Cabral.
