Grimsby Town have signed former Aldershot winger Alex Rodman on a one-year deal.

The 26-year-old spent time on loan with York City last season, playing 18 league games.

He is the third ex-York man to join the Mariners this summer after midfielders Patrick McLaughlin and Scott Kerr while they have also signed Scott Neilson.

The Mariners, beaten by Newport in last season's play-offs, start the season at home to the Shots on 10 August.
