Rangers in signing talks with Bilel Mohsni and Boris Pandza

Rangers manager Ally McCoist is holding signing talks with defenders Bilel Mohsni and Boris Pandza.
Mohsni, a 25-year-old French-Tunisian last with Southend United, and 26-year-old Bosnia international Pandza, who has left Mechelen, have been on trial.
"We'll see if we can maybe take things a little bit further," McCoist told Rangers' website after Mohsni impressed in a friendly against Elgin City.
"I have also spoken to Boris and he is keen to come."
Pandza, who began his career with Siroki Brijeg in his homeland before moving to Hajduk Split in Croatia, spent three seasons with Belgian First Division outfit Mechelen.
"Pandza is someone we're still very hopeful we can do something with," said McCoist, of the player with 21 caps.
"There's still a lot of work to be done to get that deal over the line, but I'm hopeful we'll know one way or the other what's happening in the next 24 to 48 hours."
While Pandza is solely a central defender, Mohsni has also played in midfield and attack during his career.
That began with CO Les Ulis in France, where he also played for Mende, Saint-Georges and Sainte-Genevieve Sports before joining Southend in 2010.
The League Two club rejected bids from Blackpool and West Ham United for the player and there were reports he had a trial at Celtic last season before joining Ipswich Town on loan.
Mohsni, who was released in April, played the first half of Wednesday's 1-0 win over Elgin at Borough Briggs.
"I thought Bilel did well again at Elgin and we'll obviously have a wee chat with him and his agent in the next 24 hours," added McCoist.
"No decision has been made yet and I want to hear his views as well.
"It would be good to know if he has enjoyed himself and if he'd like to stay. He has certainly impressed us."
Central defence was pinpointed as a weakness as Rangers won Division Three last season following the former Scottish Premier League outfit's liquidation last year.
Romania international Dorin Goian and United States captain Carlos Bocanegra were both released from their contracts after a season on loan.
Talks with Scotland international Christophe Berra, who has left Wolves, did not reach a successful conclusion.
However, McCoist has added to his cover at full-back by , external who exited Bristol City, and former Rangers defender Stevie Smith, last of Portland Timbers.
