Martin Fillo: Brentford sign Czech winger on loan

Brentford have completed the signing of Viktoria Plzen winger Martin Fillo on a season-long loan deal.

The 27-year-old, who has won three caps for the Czech Republic, previously played under Bees boss Uwe Rosler at Norwegian side Viking FK.

"I never lost touch with him and we had a good look at him when we were in Germany," Rosler told the club website.

"He is a team player with good individual qualities. Martin will be a good addition."

Rosler added: "He can score goals and I can see him doing very well in games where teams sit deep against us, when we need players who are good in tight areas.

"He will fit in with the squad as a player and as a person. We will bring him up to speed as we approach the season, like the other players.

"I look forward to seeing him play in our shirt and scoring goals."
