Notts County: Fabian Spiess commits future to Magpies

Notts County youngster Fabian Spiess has agreed a new long-term deal at Meadow Lane.

The 19-year-old goalkeeper came through the club's youth academy and was given a run in the side after an injury to Bartosz Bialkowski last term.

And the German has now committed his future to the club where he has made a total of eight first-team appearances.

"It's been going on for quite a while and I'm really glad that it's finally done," Spiess told the club website.

"The main thing was the chance to play. I think I've got a good chance this year of playing some games."
