Oxford United have signed Fulham winger Ryan Williams on loan until January.

The 19-year-old, who joined Fulham from Portsmouth in 2012 after making six appearances, started United's friendly with Coventry last Saturday.

Williams played all three of Australia's games at this summer's Under-20 World Cup.

"I'm delighted with the recruitment we've done this summer and now Ryan has come in I think we're done," manager Chris Wilder told BBC Radio Oxford.

"He'll come into a squad with a lot of new players that have gelled really well."

Williams has not played competitively since moving to the Cottagers 18 months ago, failing to make an appearance during a four-month loan spell with League Two champions Gillingham last season.

He becomes the ninth new arrival at the Kassam this summer and was immediately named on the bench for the game against Portsmouth on Saturday.
