TP Mazembe striker Mbwana Samatta continued his goal-a-game run in the Confederation Cup as his side beat Morocco's FUS Rabat 3-0.

The Tanzanian grabbed the second goal after 12 minutes after Ghana international Solomon Asante had opened the scoring for the DR Congo champions.

The former African champions made sure of all three points in Group B when Malian Cheibane Traore found the target 10 minutes after half-time.

Mazembe's French coach Patrice Carteron had begun the game with an attacking line-up that as well as the three goalscorers included Tresor Mputu Mabi and Rainford Kalaba.

The 21-year-old Samatta now has four goals in this year's competition, having scored in both legs of a play-off triumph over Liga Muculmana of Mozambique after Mazembe dropped down following a Champions League loss.

He was also on target again away to Entente Setif of Algeria in a game that ended 1-1.

In the other game in the group, Bizertin drew 0-0 with Setif.

And in Group A Stade Malien fell 2-1 at home to CS Sfaxien, who moved three points clear at the top of the table as they capitalised on St George's 2-1 defeat away to Etoile du Sahel.
