Bury have signed Huddersfield's Jordan Sinnott on a six-month loan deal, their 17th new arrival of the summer.

Midfielder Sinnott, 19, has made three appearances at senior level for the Terriers and could make his debut at Oxford United on Saturday.

He is the son of ex-Watford, Bradford City and Huddersfield defender Lee Sinnott, who is currently manager of Conference North side Altrincham.

Bury beat Crewe 3-2 on Tuesday to reach the second round of the League Cup.

A side containing seven of the club's new signings were victorious at Gigg Lane, with Shaun Beeley, Shaun Harrad and Richard Hinds scoring for the Shakers.

Boss Kevin Blackwell told BBC Radio Manchester: "We took 16 games to win a game and this year we've done it in two.

"The situation at the club is a rarity in football. As the game kicked off on Saturday, the announcer was still introducing new players to the club and couldn't get through the whole list before the game [against Chesterfield] had kicked off.

"Many of the players don't know each other, and I don't know the players.

"One of the players had a word with me last week because I'd forgotten his name, and I said 'listen son, I don't know anybody's name, never mind yours'.

"The fans have responded to what they've seen from the new chairman [Stewart Day] and what they're seeing from the players."
