Annan Athletic survived a comeback from Stranraer to progress to the quarter-finals of the Ramsdens Cup.

Scottish League Two Annan moved into a two-goal lead with Kenneth Mackay firing home twice.

Christopher Aitken's penalty following Peter Bradley's foul brought Stranraer back into the match and the League One side levelled through Martin Grehan's strike.

But David Hopkirk's powerful shot from outside the penalty area secured for victory the visitors.
