Truro City: Steve Massey delighted to re-sign 'mature' Liam Eddy

Truro City boss Steve Massey says new signing Liam Eddy has "matured" since his first spell with the club.

The striker has joined from Helston Athletic, and Massey said he expected a big season from a player who scored 37 goals last term.

"Liam feels he's matured. He knows he was a bit hot-headed and strong-willed, as we all are sometimes at that age," Massey told BBC Radio Cornwall.

"I'm looking forward to him playing a big part in our success."

Massey added: "He's a striker who really excites me. Liam's been with us all pre-season. He's developed and looked really sharp in pre-season and he's earned himself a contract with us.

"The last couple of years he's been playing exceptionally well at Helston, they've done a great job with him."
