Oldham have signed Burnley left-back Joseph Mills on loan, and forward Danny Philliskirk on non-contract terms.

Philliskirk, 22, left Coventry in the summer after playing only once in a five-month spell at the Ricoh Arena.

Mills, 24, joins for an initial month after failing to make an appearance for the Clarets so far this season.

"We have three left-backs and it's a great chance [for Mills] to go and get some football," Burnley manager Sean Dyche told BBC Radio Lancashire.

"At the minute Daniel Lafferty has the shirt and Ben Mee is pushing him.

"But it's important to have players ready to play in the first-team, so this is good for us and Joe."

Both Mills and Philliskirk go straight into the Latics squad for Saturday's League One game at Peterborough.
