Preston North End dominated a sorry Walsall side to notch their first win of the season.

The visitors took the lead through a superb free-kick by Joel Byrom which sneaked inside the far post.

Chris Humphrey doubled their advantage in the second half when he strolled through the defence to drive home.

A mistake by defender Malvind Benning let in Lee Holmes to poke home a third and complete the rout, handing the Saddlers their first home defeat.
