Nottingham Forest manager Billy Davies has been charged with improper conduct by the Football Association following Saturday's game against Wigan.

Davies came onto the pitch after his side's 2-1 defeat at the DW Stadium and confronted referee Craig Pawson.

An FA statement said "that his language and/or behaviour at the end of the match amounted to improper conduct".

Davies, whose side are fourth in the Championship table, has until 18:00 BST on 6 September to appeal.
