Brett Williams struck a goal in each half to help Aldershot climb off the bottom of the Conference Premier table.

Having wiped out their 10-point pre-season penalty with victory over Macclesfield last weekend, the Shots moved into the black by registering their fourth league win in eight games.

Williams struck his first on 14 minutes after being set up by Craig Stanley.

And Stanley was again the supply line when Williams added the second, again with his right foot, on 66 minutes.

After starting the season with a four-match unbeaten run, Hereford have now suffered three defeats in four games.

Admittedly, Williams' first goal was against the run of play and on-loan Crewe winger Michael West headed against the bar for the Bulls at the start of the second period as they threatened an equaliser.

But not even the arrival of latest loan signing Richard Brodie, the Conference's joint top scorer four seasons ago, for his Bulls debut could trigger a goal.
