Plymouth 0-0 Accrington

Bottom club Accrington ended a run of six straight league defeats with a hard fought point at Plymouth.

Argyle created most of the chances but failed to find a way past Stanley keeper Marcus Bettinelli.

The closest the home side came to a goal was through Rommy Boco's angled shot early on that hit the post.

Marvin Morgan and Reuben Reid also spurned chances for Argyle, while Shay McCartan and Kayode Odejayi shot wide when well placed for the visitors.

VIEWS FROM THE DRESSING ROOM

Accrington manager James Beattie told BBC Radio Lancashire:

"We'll not get carried away. We'll take a point. I'm really proud of the players and the performance that they put in.

"Initially, we were lucky not to be two, if not three, goals down in the first 10 minutes.

"When we learned to deal with their threat, we were much more accomplished. In the second half, the lads were magnificent and we were very unlucky not to win the game."
