Peterborough United striker Lee Tomlin has been ruled out for at least a month with a foot injury.

The 24-year-old was taken off 11 minutes in to Tuesday's 2-0 League Cup defeat by Sunderland.

And manager Darren Ferguson told BBC Radio Cambridgeshire after Saturday's 1-0 win over Rotherham: "He'll be out for four weeks - perhaps longer."

Tomlin has scored seven goals in 11 appearances for League One side Posh so far this season.

Ferguson continued: "He's a young boy and we like to think he's a quick healer.

"He'll be out for four to six weeks but we've got [Paul] Taylor for six weeks [on loan from Ipswich] and others we can use."
