Connor Jennings sealed Macclesfield's fourth win in five games with a second-half strike against Hereford United.

The 22-year-old went close before the break, but United goalkeeper Rhys Evans tipped his 35-yard effort over the bar.

Jennings then had a close-range header parried by Evans, only for the the striker to bundle home the follow-up.

United's hopes of a comeback were dashed with 10 minutes remaining when Sam Smith was red carded for violent conduct for an off-the-ball incident.
