Chris Dickson: Dagenham & Redbridge sign striker

League Two side Dagenham & Redbridge have signed striker Chris Dickson, subject to international clearance.

The 28-year-old former Charlton Athletic player was a free agent after leaving Chinese Super League team Shanghai East Asia.

Daggers boss Wayne Burnett told the club website:, external "I'm absolutely delighted that we've managed to capture Chris.

"He's a player I've worked with previously and someone we hope will come here and score goals."

Dickson began his career at Erith & Belvedere and then played for Dulwich Hamlet before moving onto Charlton in 2007.

After leaving The Valley in 2010,, external the Ghana international joined Cypriot club Nea Salamis Famagusta.

Two years later he moved to Cypriot League One side AEL Limassol and helped the side to qualify for the Champions League.

"He's got a wealth experience having played in the Championship and the Champions League," Burnett added.

"I welcome his experience that I feel will only enhance the group and the rest of the players."
