James McClean will not serve a three-match suspension after Wigan Athletic successfully appealed against his red card in Saturday's defeat at Blackpool.

The Republic of Ireland international, 24, was dismissed after clashing with Seasiders defender Gary MacKenzie in the closing stages at Bloomfield Road.

Winger McClean will now be available for Wigan's next domestic fixture - a trip to Charlton on Sunday.

Owen Coyle's side host Russia's Rubin Kazan in the Europa League on Thursday.
