Preston left it late to extend their unbeaten run to four games with a draw at home to Tranmere Rovers.

It was Rovers who took the lead after the break when Max Power's through ball put Chris Atkinson clear and he converted in a swift counter-attack.

It seemed to shake the composure of Preston, who struggled to match their first-half performance which had seen them bossing the game.

But an injury-time header from sub Joe Garner gave Preston a deserved point.

With seven minutes on the clock both sets of fans stood to applaud the name of Rovers midfielder Joe Thompson - who wears the number seven shirt - following his cancer diagnosis.
