Marius Zaliukas: Leeds United confirm signing of defender

Leeds United have completed the signing of central defender Marius Zaliukas on a contract until the end of the season.

Lithuania international Zaliukas, 29, made over 200 appearances in the Scottish Premier League with Hearts before being released this summer.

"I'm delighted to sign Marius," said Leeds manager Brian McDermott.

"He's a player with lots of experience, he's played for his country and he's a good age for a centre-half. It's fantastic to have him on board."
